Being evaluated by your students – awesome read

Just wanted to share this great blog I read this week with EDC3100 – Being Evaluated by my Students – an Inspirational Experience.

I’ve asked students for feedback after prac experiences, but I see real value in being open and accountable with our students with all of our teaching. It is their learning after all.

Would love to here your comments.

  1. Craig this is fantastic and I completely agree about being open and accountable with our students. In the VET sector it is part of the government requirement that we obtain student surveys regarding classroom delivery, content, presentation of room etc. Also, in early childhood education it is part of the regulations that Educators have to keep a reflection diary to demonstrate professional growth and learning and also gather parent feedback about the centre. Why can’t this be implemented across all education environments? I feel that this should be a requirement for all teachers to improve on our own practices and more importantly to ensure high quality education and care and that we are meeting each individual students learning strengths, interests and needs.
